Air Fryer Broccoli Cheddar (Print Version)

Crispy sandwich filled with sautéed broccoli and sharp cheddar, made effortlessly in an air fryer.

# Components:

01 - 1 cup broccoli florets, finely chopped
02 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
03 - 1 garlic clove, minced
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
05 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
06 - 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
07 - 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

08 - 4 slices sourdough or whole grain bread
09 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or softened butter, for spreading

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
02 - Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped broccoli; sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until broccoli is bright green and tender. Season with salt and black pepper, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
03 - In a bowl, mix the sautéed broccoli with cream cheese and shredded cheddar until fully blended.
04 - Lay out the bread slices and spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or softened butter on one side of each slice.
05 - Evenly distribute the broccoli-cheddar filling onto the unbuttered side of two bread slices. Top each with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out, forming two sandwiches.
06 - Place the sandwiches in the air fryer basket. Cook at 375°F for 4 to 5 minutes per side, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
07 - Let sandwiches cool slightly before slicing and serving.
