→ Cream Cheese Glaze
12 - 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
13 - 1 cup powdered sugar
14 - 2 tablespoons milk
15 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and granulated sugar.
03 - Cut cold unsalted butter into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or fork until it resembles coarse crumbs.
04 - Stir in cold buttermilk and vanilla extract just until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
05 - Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat into a 3/4-inch thick rectangle. Cut into 1-inch pieces.
06 - Mix light brown sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl.
07 - Dip each biscuit piece in melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Arrange coated pieces evenly in the greased baking dish.
08 - Sprinkle any leftover cinnamon sugar over the top and drizzle remaining melted butter.
09 - Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until biscuits have risen and are golden brown with the center fully cooked.
10 - While baking, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing until a pourable glaze forms.
11 - Let casserole cool for 10 minutes. Drizzle with cream cheese glaze and serve warm.
