02 - 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
03 - 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
04 - 1 large egg
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
07 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
08 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
→ Garlic Butter
09 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
10 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
11 - 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives (optional)
12 - 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
13 - Pinch of salt
→ Assembly
14 - 8 slider buns
15 - 8 slices cheddar or provolone cheese
16 - 1 cup baby arugula or lettuce
17 - 1 medium tomato, sliced
18 - 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
# Directions:
01 - In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, parsley, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Blend until ingredients are just incorporated, avoiding excessive mixing.
02 - Divide the mixture evenly into 8 portions. Shape each portion into a small patty, slightly wider than the slider buns.
03 - In a separate bowl, blend softened butter, minced garlic, chopped chives, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
04 - Warm a large non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
05 - Spread half the garlic butter on the cut sides of the slider buns. Place buns, buttered side down, onto the heated skillet and toast until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
06 - If necessary, lightly oil the skillet. Arrange the turkey patties in the pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, turning once, until the patties are cooked through and golden.
07 - In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheese, cover the pan, and allow steam to melt the cheese.
08 - Spread remaining garlic butter onto either the tops of the cooked patties or the slider buns as desired.
09 - Layer baby arugula or lettuce onto the bottom bun, place a turkey patty, add a tomato slice and a smear of mayonnaise if using. Cap with the toasted top bun.
10 - Arrange sliders on a serving tray and present warm.
